Pros: First and third ingredients are named meat products, uses primarily good quality ingredients.
Cons: Minimum acceptable meat content, some filler.

The first ingredient in the food is a named meat product, as is the third. However, the first is chicken inclusive of water content (about 80%) and once that is removed it is likely that this ingredients would be more accurately placed somewhat further down the ingredient list (ingredients are listed in order of weight). There is a further meat product in the food (catfish meal) 15th on the ingredient list but this is too far down to make up a substantive portion of the food.

The main grain in the food is Rice. Whole rice is a good quality grain that is low-allergenic and a good carbohydrate and protein source. Potato product is low quality filler. Barley is the fifth ingredient and is a good quality source of additional protein.

We appreciate the inclusion of a range of vegetables in the food, but would prefer to see the use of whole eggs rather than egg product.
