Pros: Second ingredient is a named meat product
Cons: Minimum acceptable meat content, mixed quality ingredients

The main ingredient in this food is potatoes. This is a good carbohydrate and starch source, however we would prefer to see a greater meat content in the food. The second ingredient is a named meat product in meal form, which makes up 29% of the food. This is higher than many products in this category, even if not as high as we would ideally like to see.

The next ingredient is maize (corn). This is not a high quality ingredient, being a difficult to digest grain of limited value, and that is commonly linked to allergy problems. Peas round out the major ingredients.

Overall, this looks to be a reasonable quality ingredient. The meat content is minimally acceptable, and the carbohydrate content is split between vegetable and grain content. Not all ingredients are high quality, which along with the meat content is the major reason this food receives a 3* rating.
