Pros: First three ingredients are named meat products, uses good quality ingredients throughout
Cons: Insufficient meat content

The first three ingredients in this food are all named meat products. The first two of these are meat inclusive of water content (around 80%) which, once removed as it must be to create a dry product, will end up weighing around 20% of their wet weight. Since ingredients are listed in order of weight, it is thus unlikely that they are truely the first ingredients in the food but would be more accurately place further down the ingredient list. The third ingredient (and true first ingredient) is also a meat product, this time in meal form.

There are three grain products and potatoes following the meat, which combined are likely to outstrip the meat content by a substantial margin. Although using good quality ingredients, this food appears rather light in meat content. This is the primary complaint about this product and precludes a higher rating. Users of this product might consider adding additional meat to the diet.

We appreciate the inclusion of fruits/vegetables and whole eggs in the product.
