The first ingredient in this food is a named meat product in meal form. There is a further meat ingredient 8th on the ingredient list, but this is too far down to make any substantial contribution to the overall meat content of the food.
This is followed by four grains, suggesting that the product probably contains more grain than meat (users might consider supplementing this product with meat). This includes 3 forms of rice - such splitting of the rice ingredients is further suggestive that rice may in fact be the major ingredient in the food. Brown and white rice are decent quality grains, but rice bran is a grain fragment and we consider this filler.
Barley and millet are also good quality grains. Tomato pomace is filler, but a minor ingredient in the food. The food contains a small amount of fruit, and a good range of probiotics. The product uses canola oil rather than animal fat. This is generally a good thing, though not all agree that canola is good quality.
Overall, this product uses generally good quality ingredients. Meat content appears limited, however, and users might consider supplementing this food with real meat.
