Pros: First and fourth ingredients are named meat products.
Cons: Minimum acceptable meat content.

The first ingredient in the food is a named meat product (whitefish), but we note it is fish inclusive of its water content (about 80%) and once that is removed it is likely that this ingredient would be more accurately placed somewhat further down the ingredient list (ingredients are listed in order of weight). There is a further meat product fourth on the ingredient list, this time in meal form. The manufacturer guarantees the use of ethoxyquin-free meat sources.

The main grain in the food is barley, which is a good quality grain. Barley is also the fifth ingredient and it is likely that this is the primary ingredient in the food. Rye flour is filler, as is tomato pomace. Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of antioxidants, as well as Potassium, Calcium, Iron and other vitamins and minerals.

Overall, the quality of ingredients used in this food is good. The meat content is minimally acceptable.
