Pros: Contains a reasonably good range of named meat ingredients
Cons: Wheat, wheat and more wheat. Likely to cause allergy problems for many dogs.

The first ingredient in this food is a good named meat source, as is the fourth. There are three good meat ingredients in the food overall. The inclusion of whole eggs is appreciated.

Wheat flour, the second ingredient in the food is filler. There are also two further wheat products in the food, raising suspicion that if these ingredients were not “split” they might well form the primary ingredient in the food (ie. more wheat than chicken meal). Wheat is also an extremely problematic grain, causing more than its share of allergy problems for dogs. Wheat should be avoided in a dog food, especially for dogs who suffer itchy skin and other allergy problems.

Poultry fat is fat of unidentified origin. This makes it impossible to reliably ascertain quality and it is likely that the quality of such ingredients is low.

Overall this is a food that has much better meat content than most others in this class. However, the inclusion of such high quantities of wheat is a distinct negative and is likely to cause allergy problems.
