Pros: First and fourth ingredients are named meat products, uses primarily good quality ingredients.
Cons: Minimum acceptable meat content, some filler.

The first ingredient in this food is a named meat product, as is the fourth. The latter, however, is duck inclusive of its water content (about 80%) and once that is removed it is likely that this ingredient would be more accurately placed somewhat further down the ingredient list (ingredients are listed in order of weight).

The second ingredient in the food is potatoes and the third is oats. Both are decent quality sources of carbohydrates. Oat flour is filler, as is potato fibre, but the latter is present in the food for dietary fibre purposes. We appreciate the inclusion of a range of probiotics.

Overall, the quality of ingredients in this food is good. The apparent meat content is at the lower end of those in this class, however, we appreciate that this is a formula aimed at dogs with allergies/intolerances and as such is a limited ingredient food. We would have greater confidence in the rating given if the manufacturer gave an indication of the meat content of the food.
