Pros: Fourth ingredient is a named meat product, uses primarily good quality ingredients.
Cons: Insufficient meat content

The first three ingredients in this food are all grains. Most are reasonable quality grains, but still grains, whereas dog food for all ages should be based on meat.

The first meat product does not occur until 4th on the ingredient list. Herring meal is a further meat meal ingredient, but is too far down the ingredient list to add significantly to the overall meat content of the food. It is a good source of omega 3 & 6 OFAs, along with flaxseed.

Avocado meal and oil are unusual ingredients as avocadoes are believed to be toxic to dogs, although the toxic dose is unknown.

Overall, and with reserved judgement on the use of avocadoes, this product uses primarily good quality ingredients but suffers from inadequate meat content.
