Pros:
First two ingredients are named meat products, and there are four overall in the food. Uses primarily good quality ingredients.
Cons:
Uncertain meat content in the food, some filler.
The first two ingredients in the food are named meat products, as is the ninth. However, the first two are beef inclusive of water content (about 80%) and once that is removed it is likely that these ingredients would be more accurately placed somewhat further down the ingredient list (ingredients are listed in order of weight). The only meat meal ingredient is the 9th ingredient in the food, and there is a further meat ingredient (herring) 8th on the ingredient list, but this is not in meal form and is unlikely to make up a substantial portion of the food. There are four grain ingredients in the food, including the second (first true) ingredient. It is thus impossible to be confident that the food contains a substantial amount of meat.
The main grain in the food is Barley, which is a good quality source of additional protein. Whole rice is a good quality grain that is low-allergenic and a good carbohydrate and protein source. Rice bran is filler.
We appreciate the inclusion of a range of vegetables and whole egg in the food.
