Pros: First three ingredients are named meat products, good quality ingredients
Cons: Insufficient meat content

The first three ingredients of this food are named meat products. The first two of these are inclusive of water content (about 80%). Once that is removed, as it must be to create a dehydrated product, the ingredients will weigh around 20% of their wet weight. It is thus likely that these dry ingredients may be more accurately placed much further down the ingredient list than the wet form (ingredients are listed in order of weight). Since the ingredient list is still headed by a meat meal ingredient, this does not cause considerable loss of confidence in the likely meat content of the food.

Behind the main meat ingredient, there are three grains and potato. With only one true meat meal ingredient ahead of the grain content, it appears likely that this food contains a greater amount of grain than meat (note this includes two forms of rice). The grains are, at least, good quality whole grains.

Pea fiber is filler, though this is a minor ingredient in the food. There is a range of oils high in omega 3 & 6 fatty acids, as well as some amount of fruits/vegetables and egg. We appreciate the range of probiotics.

Overall, this food appears to be of good quality and uses decent ingredients. It would appear to be rather grain heavy, however, and animals may benefit from the addition of real meat to the diet.
