Pros:
Second and third ingredients are named meat products.
Cons:
Uses corn and other low quality filler. We are not confident that there is a reasonable amount of meat product in the food.
The primary ingredient in the food is rice. There are three further grain products in the top ingredients. Of these, rice bran is filler and corn, whilst a whole grain, is problematic. Corn is difficult for dogs to digest and thought to be the cause of a great many allergy and yeast infection problems.
The second and third ingredients are both named meat products in meal form. We would have greater confidence that there is a reasonable amount of meat in the food if one of these had outweighed the first grain.
Liver digest is not a quality ingredient. The AAFCO definition of animal digest is “material which results from chemical and/or enzymatic hydrolysis of clean and undecomposed animal tissue. We appreciate the inclusion of some probiotic in the food.
